Configure your BCS Court Light Controller

Once the BCS Court Light Controller has been installed by your electrician, you’re required to configure the controller by entering sets of command into the controller keypad.

By entering these commands you can:

  • set the date & time of the controller, as well as the time zone
  • set the turn on times for lights (monthly setting)
  • set the courts to light relay mapping, allowing you to determine which light relays will activate for bookings
  • and much more

The controller will have default values already set, for example, the default value for the ‘admin pin’ which is required to perform a command is, 1234.

Set date and time Displays and sets the controller’s date, time, and day of the week.

Date: Day, Month, and Year are all entered as two-digit numbers.
Time: Hours and Minutes are entered using the 24-hour clock (HH:MM).
Day: The day of the week is entered as a single-digit number.

Date: Day = 09, Month = 11, Year = 21 (09/11/2021)
Time: HH = 14, MM = 09 (2:09 PM)
Day: 1 = Sunday, 2 = Monday, 3 = Tuesday, 4 = Wednesday, 5 = Thursday, 6 = Friday, 7 = Saturday

Turn on court light(s) Requests the relay number and then activates the lights associated with that relay. Note: Auto mode (54) must be turned off for this command to take effect, and Bypass Light Turn on Time (58) must be enabled if the current time is before the scheduled light turn-on time.

Turn off light(s) Requests the relay number and then deactivates all associated lights with that relay. Note: Auto mode (54) must be turned off for this command to take effect, and Bypass Light Turn on Time (58) must be enabled if the current time is before the scheduled light turn-on time.

Set auto mode Sets or resets automatic mode. Auto mode controls the lights according to bookings via ClubSpark. Note: When auto mode is activated, commands 52 and 53 will not work as they will be overridden. To manually turn on lights, auto mode must be off.

Set Configuration 1 Displays a subset of configuration information and optionally sets or changes configuration settings. Sets the following configurations:

  • Number of courts
  • Light activation time (prior and post booking)
  • Time-zone of controller
  • Open and close time of venue

Bypass light turn on time Removes the need for the controller to wait until the light turn-on time is reached before turning on lights. This command is effective for a single day.

Note: cccc = security/admin code set, xx = the two-digit court number if entering on the external keypad, or the two-digit relay number if entering on the controller keypad
