MT2 Decommissioning – 30 June 2022

⚠️ IMPORTANT – the consumer-facing club memberships function of MyTennis 2’s is being decommissioned on 30 June 2022:

What will change?

We won’t be decommissioning the affiliation function, only the membership side of My Tennis2 will be impacted (see screenshot below)

  • All club members statuses and membership packages will become expired in My Tennis 2.
  • Club admins with access to My Tennis 2 won’t be able to create new packages or members (they will still be able to view and download historic membership packages and members information)
  • Clubs will no longer be able to use the Communication Tool within My Tennis 2.

What about MyTennis features?

We will MAINTAIN:

  • Reporting data will remain accessible in MT2.

We will be REMOVING:

  • Remove the ability to add new memberships

  • Remove buttons for Copy, Deactivate and Edit Memberships.

  • Remove the option to purchase the Memberships
  • Removing the MT2 communication tool

Who this will impact?

Clubs using MyTennis2 to manage people’s memberships to clubs. Clubs using the “Communication Tool” to contact people from the club.

If you already use ClubSpark to fully manage your memberships and communications – this will not impact you.

What to do as an alternative?

Talk to your club representative about moving across to ClubSpark. It is easier to use for you, and your members.

For the best onboarding on ClubSpark:

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________

At TA, we want to help clubs provide the best experience, increase their membership revenue, and make sure current & future players in Australia can easily find Tennis online.

For this reason, TA will be decommissioning the use of My Tennis 2 for consumer-facing clubs membership. From June 30, 2022, clubs will no longer be able to offer memberships through My Tennis 2 and should have migrated their club’s membership service to ClubSpark or another membership solution of their choice.

By decommissioning My Tennis 2 for consumer-facing clubs memberships, we have more resources to invest in improving and supporting systems that clubs are using. Additionally, through centralising player information into less systems we can give clubs/MA’s/TA a better understanding of the health of participation across the country.

If you’re not too sure yet, ClubSpark is a venue management system that a number of club administrators are using to create and manage membership packages, as well as bookings, schedules, club events, website content and programs such as ANZ Tennis Hot Shots, Open Court Sessions, Cardio Tennis or your own custom programs.

We will support clubs to adapt and transfer their members from My Tennis 2 to ClubSpark - follow this article to learn how to transfer all your club’s existing memberships to the ClubSpark platform.

We are committing to leave you enough time to change the way you process memberships and we understand that clubs might have some difficulties adapt to the new platform. Therefore a second comms will be send out soon with a how-to-guide to show you clearly the small steps you have to go through and support you in the change.

Meanwhile, if you have any questions or need more information please get in touch with your local tennis representative.

Note:

  • We will no longer be facilitating bulk uploads into MT2

If you are still unsure, please contact your local State representative or Customer Support on 1800 752 983 / email:  [email protected]

MyTennis Update – 25 March 2019

We are very excited to announce the latest enhancements to both MyTennis as well as the Communication Tool. For a summary of these successful and positive changes, please see below. Additionally, links to helpful user guides are contained within the below updates to ensure our users can make the most out of these changes;

System Updates

We have introduced the following enhancements to MyTennis;

  • Copy Membership enhancement – enabling club administrators to create and then alter new membership categories based off copying their existing membership categories. This will streamline the process of setting up club membership categories each financial year. To learn how to use the copy membership enhancement, please follow this link; https://support.tennis.com.au/articles/using-copy-membership-on-mytennis/
  • Updating age filters for membership and reporting (i.e. filters now include age between and born between).
  • Updating membership filters for membership and reporting (i.e. now sorted by the created on date).
  • Additional reporting enhancements, including ordering the filters within the organisation on club reports.

Communication Tool Update

We have introduced the following enhancements to the Communication Tool;

  • Multiple attachments – clubs can now add multiple attachments to emails when using the communication tool. Please follow this link to find out how to add multiple attachments; https://support.tennis.com.au/articles/adding-multiple-attachments-to-the-communication-tool/
  • Saved content removed from the text field once an email has been successfully sent – we identified an error in relation to the previous enhancement around allowing clubs to save the content of emails in the communication tool. Clubs can still save their content as they go but now, after the email has been successfully sent, the text field will be cleared so that a new email can be created (rather than having to erase old email content each time).

MyTennis Bulk Upload Update – 22 March 2019

As part of a collaborative participation data strategy across Australian tennis, we are working on improving data practices. This includes the club administration processes and quality of data that is used within MyTennis.

To improve these processes we must improve the quality of data in current operational systems such as MyTennis. As a result, clubs will no longer be able to bulk upload incomplete or inaccurate records into MyTennis. We strongly encourage clubs to consider using MyTennis to its full capacity to administer club operations and memberships, and we are willing to support you in order to set this up in your environment.

For those clubs who still require members to be bulk uploaded into the system it is critical that the only data that is uploaded includes accurate information across all five of the following fields at a minimum;

  • Name
  • DOB
  • Gender
  • Email
  • Postcode

If a club or venue is unable to ensure a high level of accuracy for this data from any club or source, it won’t be uploaded into MyTennis. Our goal is for venues, clubs and coaches to all have access to a robust database, that will help them with understanding their consumers and improving communications and this is the first step in enabling this for clubs.

In addition to this update, clubs are also no longer able to edit their Club Name on MyTennis.

If you wish to update your information in bulk please contact Tennis Australia at [email protected] or contact your Member Association directly.

If a user tries to bulk upload a spreadsheet, they will get the below message:

TennisConnect Rewards Update – 8 May 2017

My Tennis is an application that helps club administrators manage memberships. An exciting part of My Tennis is TennisConnect Rewards which rewards clubs for connecting people to tennis. So far, over $100,000 worth of TennisConnect Rewards have been earned by clubs across Australia.

If your club wants to be eligible to earn rewards, you just need to offer online memberships and set up a Tennis payment gateway. Both of these functions are designed to make your job as a club administrator easier as well as making it quick and simple for members to renew online.

TennisConnect Rewards Tool

To help your club earn rewards, you can use the TennisConnect Rewards Tool which allows you to contact your members with instructions on creating a tennis account online and include a personalised club message.

You will earn $5 for your club for every member who creates a tennis account online and nominates your club as their primary place of play.

The closing date to earn rewards is 31 May 2017 so start using the TennisConnect Rewards Tool today.

Along with $5 for each member who creates an online account using the TennisConnect Rewards Tool, your club will receive an additional reward of $5 for League participants who have joined tennis via match centre during the period 1 July 2015 – 31 May 2017. If applicable, these rewards will be allocated to clubs after 31 May 2017 so will not show up in your Tennis Connect Rewards dashboard.

For more information visit the support website here.

Terms and Conditions apply and can be found here.

IMPORTANT

The system uses data which has been supplied by clubs/affiliates. In some instances the quality of this data is poor or outdated and as such affiliates should exercise caution in sending out communications. It is recommended all club administrators review their membership list and associated data to ensure only recipients intended for communications are receiving communications through the use of up to date information. This is also important in the context of clubs meeting privacy requirements.

My Tennis Update – 26 January 2017

Please note we have made a change in the process when purchasing online memberships to reduce the risk of  memberships being added to the wrong player’s record.

When logged in to your tennis account and purchasing a membership online, you will be prompted to confirm the membership package you’re purchasing is for the account you are logged in to.

If you’re a club administrator and adding a membership on behalf of a member, you will be prompted to do so via the admin site (my.tennis.com.au).

For further information on this process please refer to the following user guide, by clicking here.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly team on 1800 PLAY TENNIS (752 983), [email protected] or through our Live Chat function or alternatively your Participation Leader.

My Tennis Update – 20 December 2016

We are pleased to announce several enhancements to the Email Communication Tool in My Tennis.

These enhancements include:

  1. The ability for club administrators to send governing emails (i.e. AGM emails) to members who have their notification preference set to not receive communication from the organisation or have opted out.
  2. Adding the club logo to emails
  3. Personalisation of emails
  4. Tracking and reporting of communications

For further details on these enhancements please read the Email Communication Tool user guide by clicking here.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly team on 1800 PLAY TENNIS (752 983), [email protected] or through our Live Chat function or alternatively your Participation Leader.
