What match results in Australia count towards players UTR Rating?

The Tennis Australia (TA) platforms from which player results contribute to UTR Ratings are; Tournament Planner and League Manager/Match Centre.

We are currently working to improve the volume of competitive matches sent to UTs platform from TA platforms, however from time-to-time some match results may not count towards a player UTR Rating. A summary of the conditions are outlined below:

  • Tournament Planner

All Australian Competitive Play Endorsed Events will contribute towards a players UTR Rating, provided that a player has registered and entered accordingly.

Endorsed events can be viewed at https://www.tennis.com.au/competitiveplay/calendar

Note all players should complete their competitive player profile as per the following  instructions HERE to ensure results are uploaded as efficiently as possible.

  • League Manager/Match Centre

All League Manager / Match Centre matches count towards a players UTR Rating, provided that all participants competing the match are 15 years or older, or for younger players if they have provided the appropriate consent (by completing their competitive play profile.) If an individual is under 15 and has not provided the appropriate consent, this match will not count towards any of the players UTR.

All players should complete their competitive player profile as per the following instructions HERE to ensure results are uploaded as efficiently as possible.

As an example of when a result may not count, please refer to the following example; if your doubles partner or opponent has not registered and activated their UTR Rating, the result may not contribute.

  • For Events and Leagues, no modified ball types will contribute to UTR Ratings (no Red, Orange or Green Ball matches)

Note: Although eligible League Manager/Match Centre matches are sent to Universal Tennis daily, it can take some time for results to be imported into the correct players profile. By completing your Competitive Player Profile, you are ensuring your results are given the most efficient process possible. Please allow up to 7-10 business days.

How do I ensure my matches count towards the UTR Rating?

To allow the best opportunity for your matches to be provided to Universal Tennis, you need to ensure you have registered and completed your competitive player profile as per the following instructions HERE

What if a score is incorrect on my Match Centre and/or UTR Profile?

In the instance that you notice an incorrect result on your Universal Tennis player profile that has come from Tournament Planner and/or League Manager/Match Centre; please contact the respective competition administrator. Tennis Australia cannot edit results for events/competitions administered by associations, clubs or other providers. An incorrect result may be updated on Tournament Planner or League Manager/Match by the competition administrator; if the result is amended the scores will be resent to Universal Tennis for processing.

How long does it take to process a result with UT once official?

Tennis Australia sends official scores daily to UT for processing and the UTR Rating updates once every Tuesday morning for Australian Players. Please note that some results may take a few days for UT to process and may not appear on your UTR profile for several days.

Other Tennis platform providers.

Competitions administered on a platform separate to that of Tennis Australia and UTR may or may not contribute to UTR Ratings. Please contact your platform provider for further information.
