1. Create a Challenge

To challenge another participant, go to the Challenge Ladder competition profile.

When viewing the Challenge Ladder, ‘Challenge’ buttons next to the participant name are present. The blue challenge button indicates participants that you can challenge. Note that the number of positions on the ladder you can challenge up/down is determined by the competition manager. If a Challenge button is grey, this indicates that the Challenge button is disabled and the participant cannot be challenged.

To create a challenge invite, click the blue Challenge button for the relevant participant to prompt the challenge process.

To create the challenge invite, you willl be required to select the day, time and facility for the challenge request. Challenge invitations cannot be created on the same day as the match date that is; if it Monday morning you cannot request a match for Monday, only the following day or later date. Please ensure that you schedule challenge requests to opponents in line with your competition rules. Note also that challenges can only be made in the persons schedule preferences.

You can also add a comment to the challenge invite which is visible to the opposition player when reviewing the invitation. For example, you may outline the surface/court number or any other relevant information for the recipient of the invite.

Once you have entered the required information, click the blue Challenge button to send the challenge invite. A confirmation screen will appear confirming the challenge request has been submitted. You can close the confirmation screen by clicking ‘Close’. The opponent will receive an email notification and To Do challenge card on their dashboard.

When viewing the Challenge Ladder you will now note that you the challenge button is now gold and Pending for that participant. Whilst you have a pending Challenge you cannot challenge another participant, however other participants may still challenge you.

NOTE: when participating as a Doubles or Team: for Doubles the first listed person in the pair is responsible for the challenge interactions between opposition participants, for Teams the Captain and/or Team Manager is responsible.
